Walk Description & Map

So we checked all the weather forecasts before we left, cloudy, bit of rain, possibly a small amout of sun late in the day, not too warm was the general consensus and when we left Durham this looked about right. So on with the fleeces and warm clothes. Ooops. Over the top of the Pennines on the A66 and in front of us unbroken blue sky and so it stayed the entire day. Hardly a breath of wind and very warm. Soon had sleeves and trousers rolled up and of course, as usual, I'd forgotten my sun cream and so had everyone else...

On the up side I got a view from the top of Scafell Pike, third time lucky!

Pub: Can't remember the name of it (sorry) but Seatoller had a very pleasent pub with good beer and a nice beer garden, ideal on a day like this.
