Walk Description & Map
This walk is also known as 'Matt's Birthday Walk' as it was Matt King's 21st. Hence the birthday cake pictured further down. The weather was good at low level but the cloud base was about 700m so no views from Scafell Pike - again. A fair scattering of snow higher up but not enough to make any difficulty, worse was the wind gusting quite high at points. We took the direct route up Rossett Gill on the ascent but it took ages so we just followed the easy path on the descent, this was far faster.

A large group was recued off Langdale Pikes during the afternoon after getting into trouble, one fatality (see BBC News report).
Pub: Back late so didn't think we'd have time but as another group was later still (by quite a way) there was time for a drink at ODG from their usual good selection of real ales.
