Walk Description & Map
The day started cloudy but improved as the day went on. A heavy frost the night before, possibly with a bit of snow, but this was thawing fast. Some really nice walking, good size hills but nowhere near as busy as the Lake District. We didn't see anyone else until we reached the summit of The Calf (highest hill in the Howgills, 676m).
Pub: The Dalesman, in my opinion the nicest pub in Sedbergh. Plenty of space and good beer. Food looked good but I've never had time to try it.
