Walk Description & Map

This was an incredible day, very sunny, little cloud and a hard frozen ground with a touch of snow on the tops. Visibility was excellent with just a bit of haze in the distance. Some frozen streams created some difficult patches where an axe or crampons would have been useful (not that I had either of these at this time...). We had planned to include Hopegill Head as well but ended up cutting the corner down to Coledale Hause to save time. As often seems to happen 4 groups all met on the top of Crag Hill within a few minutes having approached from (mostly) different routes.

Pub: We finished the day in the Royal Oak in Braithwaite. Three or Four Jennings Ales on tap from memory, all quite pleasant.
